Looking beyond the horizon longing an anticipation

Reaching over still waters

My tears are ever streaming

Salty to the taste, this ingredient I offer

I must stay here

My feet are bound to the earth

Here upon my perch

Aching is my heart

The wind laughs

It’s sarcasm I cannot take

Smite my body cold and still

Bring forth your howls

Caution: I shall not move

I greet the elements

Do what they must

I cannot break

Strong is my will

Forever still

For years I have weathered this storm
